Social network

A '''social network''' is a social structure of a [[Community|community]]. It consists of nodes, agents or individuals which are connected by a specific type of relationship, such as friendship, kinship or following. In its simplest form, a social network is simply a set of specific [[Link|links]], which correspond to friends or followers, between a set of social objects, such as persons. This set can be described as a graph or network. Followers of a certain person, individual or node can develop (or appear as) a kind of [[Hive mind|hive mind]].

Bonds and links in a social network are created and maintained by sharing and exchanging [[Gift|gifts]]. People share in social networks to strengthen bonds and to achieve a certain status, for example having more followers.
