A fractal is a geometric, self-similar pattern that is repeated at every scale. It is a geometric figure that displays self-similarity, i.e. it repeats itself under several levels of magnification. This geometric self-similar figure can be built up from a simple shape, by generating the same or similar changes on successively smaller scales.
